Cooperation between regions

The Memorandum of friendly cooperation and mutual understanding between Rustavi and Harbin was signed in 2007.

Protocol of intentions for cooperation between Kakheti and Sindzian-Uiguret regions was signed in 2007.

From Georgia to China:

2006

11.04.2006 – H.E. Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia paid and official visit to China.

2007

20-25.05.2007 Georgia's State Minister Mrs. Zinaida Bestaev, by invitation of National Commission of China's Ethnical relations, visited Beijing.

2-10.03.2007 Delegation Georgia's United National Movement visited China under the leadership of Secretary General Mr. Davit Kirkitadze.

2-7.06.2007 Delegation of the Georgian Railway Ltd visited China.

2008

18-20.11.2008 Attorney of President in Kakheti region Mr. Giorgi Gviniashvili and member of Georgian Parliament Mr. Zaza Gulikashvili visited China's Sindzian-Uiguret autonomous region to sign the agreement about fraternization.

2009

23-26.11.2009 Delegation of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti's region under the leadership of Governor Zaza Gorozia and mayor of Poti Mr. Vano Saginadze visited city Cindao. It was cleared perspectives of cooperation between Poti and Cindao.

2010

17-22.03.2010 Georgian Parliament delegation under the leadership of Mr. Akaki Minashvili visited China.

30.06.2010   Georgian-Chinese political consultations on the level of directors of departments of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two countries were held in Beijing.

25-30.10.2010 H.E. Mr. Nika Gilauri, the Prime-Minister of Georgia paid a working visit to China.

12-15.12.2010 the 4th meeting of Georgian-Chinese Intergovernmental Economic Commission was held in Beijing. Mr. Abesalom (Archil) Kekelia, the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia led the Georgian delegation.

2011

23-31.03.2011 Mr. Abesalom (Archil) Kekelia, the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia visited China (Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong).

2012

23-25.04.2012 Georgian-Chinese political consultations on the level of directors of departments of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two countries were held in Beijing.

23-25.04.2012 Ms. Maia Sidamonidze, the Chairwoman of the Georgian National Tourism Administration visited China. The Memorandum between the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the National Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China on the Facilitation of Group Travel by Chinese Tourists to Georgia was signed during the visit.

 

20-22.06.2012 Mr. Irakli Gvaladze, the Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center (SAKPATENTI) visited China.

17-20.09.2012 Mr. Nikoloz Rurua, the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia paid an official visit to China. The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and the Ministry of Culture of China was signed during the visit.

From the People's Republic of China to Georgia

2007

31.08-02.09. 2007 Delegation of Chinese Communist Party's Central Committee visited Georgia under the leadership of Head of Department of External Relations Mr. Wan Ziaojuei.

1-3.10.2007 Mr. Ian Gan, the Vice-governor of China's Sindzian-Uiguret Autonomous District visted Kakheti region.

2009

21.12.2009 Georgian-Chinese political consultations on the level of directors of departments of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two countries were held in Tbilisi.

2010

4.06.2010 Mr. Fu Jing, China's Deputy-Minister of Commerce visited Georgia. Meetings with the Premier-Minister, Minster of Economic Development and the Minister of Finance of Georgia were held during the visit.

2012

9-11.07.2012 the 5th meeting of Georgian-Chinese Intergovernmental Economic Commission was held in Tbilisi. Mr. Mr. Chong Quan, the Deputy China International Trade Representative (vice minister level) led the Chinese delegation. Meetings with the Premier-Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Minister of Finance of Georgia were held during the visit.

22-24 .07.2012 Mr. Chu Ping, the Vice-President of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) visited Georgia. The Memorandum of Understanding between Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) was signed during the visit.

3-6.08.2012 Delegation of Chinese Communist Party's Central Committee visited Georgia under the leadership of Mr. Wan Ziaojuei, Head of the Bureau for Europe and Central Asia of the Department of External Affairs.

15-19.09.2012 Mr. Li Zhaoxing, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the 11th National People’s Congress (Parliament) of China paid a visit to Georgia. Meetings with the President of Georgia, as well as with Premier-Minister, Chairman of Parliament, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia were held during the visit.

23-25.09.2012 Mr. Wan Jifei, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) visited Georgia. Meetings with Premier-Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development and the leadership of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry were held during the visit.
